Well, 2 days ago my lace front wig arrived along with the supplies to
properly attach it. Wed. night I spent a bit of time figuring out
where the wig needed to sit, etc. so I would know where the glue
should be used. I've had the wig on now for a day and a half and I
have to say I am liking this much better than the normal wig routine.
I've slept in it twice and it really does feel natural. There are some
definite advantages to something like this for those of us who have
the means to wear one. The lace front wigs are not really for casual
wear since they really do require tape or glue to set the hair line
properly. It's not a throw it on and head out the door and take it off
kind of wear. These are meant to be worn days or even weeks at a time.
On the plus side, I got this on Ebay for $55 including shipping. This morning I did have to fix a small section which had come loose
near the temple, but I chalk that up to my own inexperience with
putting one of these on. Some of the advantages are that it's no fuss
once it's on. There is little chance of it slipping, which means
things like head bands and high pony tails are possible. Also, for the
first time I have no bangs and you can't tell it's a wig. Another
advantage will be I will be able to ride the motorcycle and not have
to worry about losing the wig when I take the helmet off. It does feel
odd to wake up and have hair in my face though. I'm curious to see how it holds up to a few more days of wear. I plan
to take it off Sunday night.
