Hit on at Applebee's

OMG, I just had to share this one... We were just at Applebee's tonight
for dinner and I got hit on big time. Now, it was a typical Heather day
- Brown 2 tone pullover top with half sleeves, khaki skirt, tan heeled
sandals and my new black wig. Nothing extravagant, really. I was there
with my wife, daughter and our foster son.

As we were finishing up our dinner, one of the staff (his name tag said
"I am Ed") came over and asked how our dinner was going. We did the
normal "it's good" stuff. He asked our daughter if she was still working
on hers and she said she was done. He said it was OK, she didn't have to
eat it all since she was 7 and it was OK for her to not eat it all (in
her defense, it was a big meal). He commented on the fact that my wife
cleaned her plate (she had a salad). He looked at my nachos, which were
half eaten and asked if I was done, to which I replied that I was. He
was like "are you sure you don't want to eat some more?" "Yeah" I
replied "I'm done". He said "You didn't eat much, are you sure you're
done?" I told him I was watching my figure (I really was full and it was
a huge portion to begin with). He looked right at me and said "You're
beautiful, you don't need to watch your figure, I'm sure you could eat
some more and not have to worry about your figure." He then turned to
Rain and said something like "Don't you think she could eat more and not
have to worry about her figure?"

By this time I was not looking at him at all. I was actually hoping he'd
quit already and move on to the next table or whatever. I was basically
looking down and at Rain and really smiling (and apparently blushing big
time). He said "aww, there's no need to blush, you really are beautiful
and you have a great figure." He asked Katie what her name was and
Adrien too. Rain was waiting for him to ask my name next but he didn't.
I don't remember the rest, but he went on for a few minutes more, and
eventually went to take care of other things.

After he left, Rain and I sat there looking at each other in disbelief.
This guy had come over and hit on me big time right in front of my wife
(of course he didn't know that). We were kind of in shock over it. Sure,
I've been hit on before, but this guy was really working it. We were
kind of laughing about it and trying to decide if this guy was really
serious. I think he was.

When the waitress brought the check, our daughter commented "Hey, her
name's Heather too." She gave one of those "huh?" kinds looks and our
daughter said "Her name's Heather too" referencing me. We found out that
tonight they had 5 Heathers on staff. Talk about confusing...
