Today when I got up I got dressed up since I had a nail appointment this morning. I wore a pair of stretch jeans, white camisole, brown v-neck top, my new flowered socks and my brown boots. I also decided to go with the long wig for a change. I went for my nail appointment which was wonderful (see the blog entry from earlier today for details). After my appointment, my wife asked if I'd like to go thrift shopping, like she actually has to ask! LOL! I was looking for a sweater or shrug to go with the dress I want to wear to ladies night out next week. I found a pale green open knit sweater shrug that should work great since my dress is sleeveless and I know that it will probably be a bit chilly.
While we were thrift shopping my wife overheard a rather rude woman state "I don't know who he thinks he is fooling." My wife walked by the woman and said "We're not trying to fool anyone." Way to go honey! :) I knew there was a reason that I married her.. LOL! Obviously I was read by at least one person, but this was the only reaction we noticed. Considering my daughter kept calling me "daddy" rather loudly, I'm not surprised really. Otherwise the afternoon shopping was a wonderful experience.
On the way home we stopped at Dunkin' Donuts for some donuts & a drink. My wife thinks the guy being the counter (Indian guy) liked Heather. He kept looking at me with a big smile on his face. He even threw in 2 extra donuts in the dozen we bought.
I'm not sure if I'll get out again before next saturday night, but days like today definitely make it all worthwhile.
