Today I had to go to my dr's office to pick up a referral. I wore a
white long sleeve top with purple short sleeve sweater (loose knit) over
it, short dark grey crushed velvet skirt, black leggings and sneakers.
Now, 2 years ago I would have been in a fancy blouse, dressy skirt,
stockings and spiked heels. It is amazing how much of a difference a
couple of years of getting out can make. I have learned that to pass (be
accepted, same thing), I need to look as GG as possible. Even a year ago
I never would have thought of something like this for a day out, but now
I dress down all the time when out around town. I stopped by walmart
after the dr to pick up some more makeup and noticed a few guys smiling
at me as I walked by. Of course I returned the smile. Was I read? maybe,
but I was accepted. Acceptance is really what matters most when getting out.
