We are everywhere!!!!

I keep telling people that there are far more crossdressers out there than you may think. Today I proved it.

Well, today I had to run some errands so I went with the working mom look. Black knee length skirt, pink cami, black sweater, white tights and a pair of black pumps. In case you are wondering I do like to detail some of my outings because I remember what it was like to be too afraid to walk out of the house as Heather. I always hope that my detail will help someone walk out their front door.

I went to the bank first to drop some stuff off at the safe deposit box. I walked in and headed to the area where the vault is. A bank person came over to help me and I told her I needed to access my safe deposit box. I had to wait while the lady working the vault finished with another customer then the girl took me in and said "She needs to access her safe deposit box." It always makes me feel good when I am treated like any other woman. I don't know if he read me or not, but there was no indication thats he did.

Next I headed to Walmart to pick up a few things. I should note that my dad's truck was in the parking lot so I know he was there. I managed to not see him while I was there so for those who are afraid you'll run into someone you know, remember this one. Of course I had to look at the shoes while I was there.

While browsing the shoes I caught a guy in the corner of my eye. Now let em describe this guy. He was your typical works hard for a living kind of guy. Goatee, long scraggly ponytail, over sized sweatshirt, baggy jeans that are too long for him, sneakers and a baseball cap. He looked like the kind of guy that works in construction or drives a dump truck for a living. Well, I caught him taking his shoe off and putting it back on, I think he wanted to try some shoes on. What caught my attention (other than the fact that we were in the women's shoe section) was that he was wearing black stockings. He was a crossdresser. This just proves what I have been saying all along. There are far more of us than you might think.

Some interesting statistics from the 2000 census for my town:

So based on this, if you use the accepted 1% figure for male crossdressers, there should be 74 in this town alone. If you use a more believable 5% figure, there are 372 of us in town. This doesn't count the surrounding towns.

We are everywhere! maybe even living next door to you!
